Is the Golden Comp a satanic book? should i read it?

People think that HARRY POTTER is a satanic book, for heaven's sake! that's a little extreme in my opinion, because i LOVE them. but my dad is against them, the Da Vinci Code, and most especially, the Golden Comp. i've read the Da Vinci Code and though i don't agree with some of the stuff in it, i thought it was a very intresting, well-written book. is The Golden Comp worse? I haven't read it but I've heard mixed reviews about it. some say not to read it because it is satanic and of the devil. would you christians read it/let your kids read it? Thoughts?
