How do I take off the sticky residue after peeling off a sticker?

I have a snowboard which has a couple of stickers. The stickers are getting worn off and don't look good anymore so I decided to peel them off. But after peeling, they leave a sticky residue and are annoying me. Can you please tell me some useful tips and ways to remove it. Thank you.
