Stamped cross stitch quilt kit?

i am making a stamped cross stitch quilt for the first time. i bought a kit but i am so confused. it comes with a sheet of paper that has the picture on it the colors and also it comes with the quilt that has the picture on it. do i attatch that paper to it? please can anyone just give me the directions and instructions and ANYTHING you know about stamped cross stitch quilt kits because i dont even know where to start and i want to have it done in decent time. thank youuuu
