Will my old GPA from 20 years ago affect my New ulative GPA now?

I was in college 20 years ago and only went 1 year. Ended up with a GPA of 1.96 and 19 credits earned. Now I am going back to a community college and last semester earned a 3.6 GPA and 15 credits earned. When I transferred last semester to the community college, I was told that 12.7 credits transferred from my old school, can anyone tell me how the 1.96 GPA will play into the 3.6 GPA? Or will it affect it at all? I am trying to figure out if I qualify for Phi Theta Kappa which needs a ulative GPA of 3.5. Thanks.
